A2 power restriction
Permanent power restriction to 35 kW for the A2 driving licence category. The package includes a VAT invoice, a dyno measurement with a chart and a certificate of the modification.
A2 rules in brief
The rules are specific, so we start with the numbers:
- We restrict power to 35 kW.
- Before the restriction, the motorcycle may have a maximum of 70 kW.
- The ratio of power to the motorcycle's unladen weight may be at most 0.2 kW/kg.
Motorcycles above 70 kW do not qualify for A2, even after the power is restricted. This is a summary; the legislation itself is binding.
What we do
We carry out a permanent modification, electronic or mechanical, that restricts power to 35 kW. Then we measure the motorcycle on the dyno.
What you get in the package
- a permanent modification restricting power,
- a dyno measurement with a chart,
- a VAT invoice,
- a certificate of the modification (a Polish procedure),
- optionally, an opinion from a PZMot expert.
Who it is for
- owners of motorcycles who hold an A2 category licence,
- driving schools (OSK): the offer includes driving schools too.
Motorcycles on which we carried out the restriction have passed the technical inspection and re-registration. The technical inspection, the re-registration and the certificate are Polish procedures.
What next
Describe your motorcycle (make, model, year) in the form and we will check together whether it fits within the limits. When the restriction is no longer needed, see power derestriction.
What the price depends on
The price depends on the model and year of the motorcycle, the ECU, the scope of work and any parts. Describe your motorcycle and what you are asking about.
Frequently asked questions
What power limit (in kW) do you restrict to?
We restrict power to 35 kW. The A2 limit also includes a power-to-unladen-weight ratio of at most 0.2 kW/kg.
Is my motorcycle suitable?
Before the restriction, the motorcycle may have a maximum of 70 kW, and the power-to-unladen-weight ratio may be at most 0.2 kW/kg. Motorcycles above 70 kW do not qualify for A2. This is a summary; the legislation itself is binding. Give us the make, model and year and we will check.
What will I get after the service?
A permanent modification, a dyno measurement with a chart, a VAT invoice and a certificate of the modification (a Polish procedure). Optionally you can add an opinion from a PZMot expert.
Will the motorcycle pass the technical inspection and re-registration after the restriction?
Motorcycles on which we have carried out the restriction have passed the technical inspection and re-registration. These are Polish procedures.
Can I have the restriction removed later?
The modification is permanent, and removing the restriction is a separate service: power derestriction. Remember that the motorcycle must remain consistent with its documents, and riding a motorcycle without the restriction requires a category A licence.
